The General Location of Kent State Salem City Center Campus:
Kent State Salem City Center is located at 230 North Lincoln Street, one block north of East State Street (Route 14). Route 14 is the "main drag" in Salem, which runs east and west.  

From the North on Route 11:

  1. Exit Route 11 at the Columbiana exit. At the exit ramp stop sign, turn left onto Route 46. Follow Route 46 to Route 14. There is a traffic signal at this intersection.
  2. At the signal at Route 14 turn right. Follow Route 14 west through Washingtonville and then into Salem. Proceed west through Salem onto East State Street (Route 14) and watch for Home Savings and Loan on the north right corner of a major intersection with traffic signal.
  3. At the traffic signal by the Savings and Loan, turn right onto North Lincoln Avenue.
  4. Go one block and turn left onto Second Street (the campus building will be on your right).  Go ˝ block, and park in the public lot on your left.  Enter the building from the ground floor on the building’s front right.
  5. Go up one flight of stairs.  The Workforce and Continuing Studies Office is in the center of the second floor.
  6. For those needing handicap parking, the second floor is also accessible from the rear of the building.

From Youngstown/Boardman Area:

  1. Take Route 7 (South Market Street) south to North Lima. Turn right at the stoplight in North Lima onto Route 164. Follow Route 164 to Route 14. (There is a plaza on the right at this intersection.) At the traffic signal at Route 14 turn right.
  2. Follow Route 14 west through Washingtonville and then into Salem. Proceed west through Salem onto East State Street (Route 14) and watch for Home Savings and Loan on the north right corner of a major intersection with traffic signal.
  3. At the signal by the Savings and Loan, turn right onto North Lincoln Avenue.
  4. Go one block and turn left onto Second Street (the campus building will be on your right).  Go ˝ block, and park in the public lot on your left.  Enter the building from the ground floor door on the building’s front right.
  5. Go up one flight of stairs.  The Workforce and Continuing Studies Office is in the center of the second floor.
  6. For those needing handicap parking, the second floor is also accessible from the rear of the building.

From Canfield, Route 62:

  1. Follow Route 62 south to Salem. But do not turn right where routes 62 and 45 begin to "bypass" Salem at the north end of town. Continue straight ahead onto Route 9. This is also North Lincoln Avenue.
  2. Go straight into Salem on Route 9/North Lincoln Avenue. The building is on your left, after you pass Third Street.
  3. Go just past the building and turn right onto Second Street, where you can park in the public lot on your left.
  4. Enter the building from the ground floor on the building’s front right.
  5. Go up one flight of stairs.  The Workforce Development and Continuing Studies Office is in the center of the second floor.
  6. For those needing handicap parking, the second floor is also accessible from the rear of the building.

 

From Ellsworth/Lordstown Area, Route 45:

  1. Follow Route 45 south to Salem until you come to the intersection of the Route 62-45 bypass. This is a major intersection (a 4-lane highway and median strip) with a left turn lane and traffic light. Turn left (east) onto the 62-45 bypass. Note: This is a very wide left turn!
  2. Follow the Route 62-45 bypass east a short distance until it "ends" at a place you can only go left or right. At the stop sign, turn right (south) onto Route 9. Follow Route 9 (which becomes North Lincoln Avenue) into Salem.
  3. Go straight into Salem on Route 9/North Lincoln Avenue. After you pass third street, the building is on your left.
  4. Go just past the building and turn right onto Second Street, where you can park in the public lot on your left.
  5. Enter the building from the ground floor on the building’s front right.
  6. Go up one flight of stairs.  The Workforce Development and Continuing Studies Office is in the center of the second floor.
  7. For those needing handicap parking, the second floor is also accessible from the rear of the building.

 


From the Kent/Akron Area, Route 14:

  1. Take I-76 east to the Alliance exit at Route 14. Follow Route 14 to Salem. Follow Rt. 14 through downtown Salem.
  2. At the corner of Rt. 14 (State Street) and N. Lincoln is a traffic light and you will see   Home Savings and Loan on you left.  Turn left onto N. Lincoln. Go one block and you will see the City Center (light tan building) on your right, 230 North Lincoln.
  3. To park, turn left onto Second Street (before you get to the building).  Park in the public lot on your left.  Enter the building from the ground floor on the building’s front right.
  4. Go up one flight of stairs.  The Workforce and Continuing Studies Office is in the center of the second floor.
  5. For those needing handicap parking, the second floor is also accessible from the rear of the building.

From the East Liverpool Area:

  1. Take State Route 30 west to State Route 45 north through Lisbon and past the South Lincoln KSU Salem Campus on your left.
  2. Continue on Lincoln Street (about 2 miles).  Cross over the intersection of State Street (Rt. 14).  You will see Home Savings and Loan on your left.  Go one block and you will see the City Center (light tan building) on your right, 230 North Lincoln.
  3. To park, turn left onto Second Street (before you get to the building). Park in the public lot on your left.  Enter the building from the ground floor on the building’s front right.
  4. Go up one flight of stairs.  The Workforce and Continuing Studies Office is in the center of the second floor.
  5. For those needing handicap parking, the second floor is also accessible from the rear of the building.

OR

  1. Or coming up Route 11, exit at Lisbon. At the exit ramp stop sign, turn right onto Route 154. Follow Route 154 into Lisbon where it joins Route 45.
  2. Follow Route 45 north through Lisbon.  In approximately 6 miles you will pass the South Lincoln KSU Salem Campus on your left.
  3. Continue on Lincoln Street (about 2 miles).  Cross over the intersection of State Street (Rt. 14).  You will see Home Savings and Loan on your left. 
  4. Go one block and you will see the City Center (light tan building) on your right, 230 North Lincoln.
